\nAm Abend laufen im Arsenal Filme von 66-69. Ein paar \u00fcberlebende K\u00e4mpen sind anwesend, viele aus der mittleren Generation, die noch im Berufleben stehen, auch ein paar Studenten haben sich eingefunden.
\nDie Stimmung ist nach ein paar Sekunden einschl\u00e4fernd und hypnotisch. Endlose Einstellungen, wenige Schnitte. Im Grunde passiert so gut wie nichts. Die ersten im Publikum schlafen ein.
\nAber da die Filme nur noch selten zu sehen sind, mu\u00df ich konkreter werden.
\nCultural Nationalism<\/a> von Skip Norman. Ein endloser Monolog, die Kamera h\u00e4lt auf ein verschneites Feld. Ganz zuletzt l\u00e4uft ein schwarzes Kind ins Bild. Ja. Naja. Dekonstruktion mit ideologischer Glasur eben. Und ein bi\u00dfchen faul dazu. Mit Film hat das wenig zu tun.
\nVor Die Worte des Vorsitzenden<\/a> von Harun Farocki habe ich mich etwas gef\u00fcrchtet. Farocki<\/a> mag ich sehr. Ich wollte mir das nicht durch eine maoistische Jugends\u00fcnde kaputtmachen lassen. Und dann sah ich einen Zweiminutenfilm, der zwischen russischer konstruktivistischer Moderne, Pop Art in schwarz-wei\u00df und Sybmolismus angesiedelt war. Voller Tempo, Ironie und Humor, unabsichtlich?, Humor ist dieser Zeit ja eher abgegangen.
\n21.10.68 ca. 15 Uhr<\/a> die Auswahl dieser Plansequenz (sch\u00f6nes Wort!) hat die Anwesenden eher befremdet. Ein sch\u00f6nes Model l\u00e4uft durch Westend. Die Irritation, die ungeplant passiert, sind zwei Kinder mit einem sterbenden Vogel am Wegrand. Pl\u00f6tzlich stehen Regisseur und Kameramann mitten im Geschehen. Nur, das hat mit Film nichts zu tun. Das ist das Leben. Erstaunlich, da\u00df sich die Diskussion hinterher genau da festsetzt. Wie sch\u00f6n! und dieser Charme! und da\u00df die Situation aufgebrochen wird!…
\nBrecht die Macht der Manipulateure<\/a> von Helke Sander ist harter Stoff. Ich hatte ganz verbotene Gedanken. Da\u00df so ein Propagandafilm mit Sicherheit vom Osten bezahlt war. So was konnte doch niemand freiwillig machen! Das sah ja aus wie der Agitationsschrott, mit dem ich in der DDR aufgewachsen bin. Mit einem Unterschied: In Helke Sanders Film ist der Arbeiter ein dummer, unwissender Spie\u00dfer. F\u00fcr den erst das Fressen und dann die Moral kommt. Das h\u00e4tte es in der DDR nicht gegeben. Der SDS hat das \u00e4hnlich gesehen, laut Helke Sander. Der Film war den Jungs zu wenig heldenhaft.
\nDie einzige Passage, die f\u00fcr mich etwas mit Kino zu tun hatte, war die talkshowhafte Aufnahme der Filmemacher Sander, Schmid, Farocki und Norman, in der sie ihre politische Position erl\u00e4utern. Die Szene ist \u00fcberbelichtet, starr und die drei im Bild befindlichen tragen Sonnenbrillen. Die Blues Brothers lassen gr\u00fc\u00dfen. Das war f\u00fcr mich der Moment, in dem ich nur noch albern kichern konnte (um mich herum schliefen sie schon). Weil die drei genau den Bierernst und die ungewollte Komik von Jake und Elwood haben, die sich von nichts aufhalten lassen, um zu ihrem Konzert zu kommen und dabei halb Chicago zerlegen.
\nDie Diskussion danach war altersmilde. Sind die Macher doch mittlerweile zwischen 60 und 70 und haben selbst einige Distanz zu ihren utopischen Rundumschl\u00e4gen.
\n\u00c4sthetisch mag an diese Filme grausam finden. Als Zeitdokument sind sie interessant. Man h\u00f6rt, wie es knirscht im Geb\u00e4lk der erstarrten Bundesrepublik. Ver\u00e4nderung durfte nicht zugelassen werden, die gedeckelte Nazizeit h\u00e4tte den politischen Akteuren ins Gesicht fliegen k\u00f6nnen. Und dann kommen diese Kinder und st\u00f6ren. Sorglos, weil sie sollen es ja mal besser haben als die Eltern. Furor statt Gemessenheit, Haltlosigkeit statt Enge. Biografisches Chaos statt klassischem German Way of Life.
\nDas ist schon spannend. Die \u00dcberlebenden haben l\u00e4ngst ihr Pl\u00e4tzchen in der Gesellschaft gefunden. Nachdem die V\u00e4ter verjagt waren, haben sie es sich selbst dicht am Feuer gem\u00fctlich gemacht.<\/p>\n

Und sonst? Das Sony-Geb\u00e4ude ist sch\u00f6n im Sp\u00e4tsommerlicht. Und ich k\u00f6nnte kotzen, wenn mich diese Westladys herablassend behandeln. Wir haben 2006, nicht 1991. Wenn sie mir erkl\u00e4ren, dass die K\u00f6penicker Stra\u00dfe im Westen liegt, obwohl ich erz\u00e4hlt habe, dass ich in Kreuzberg lebe. Mir unterstellen, dass ich Cultural Nationalism<\/em> nicht richtig kapieren konnte, weil ich ja aus dem Osten bin und kein Englisch kann. Danke. So viel Englisch kann ich, um Black Panther-Propaganda zu verstehen.
